Welcome to episode 12 of The Orlagh Claire Podcast!
We took a brief hiatus for a few weeks at the beginning of summer, but we’re back and we have some more episodes of The Orlagh Claire Podcast to come before we end season 1.
In this latest podcast, I sat down (virtually) with Sangeeta Waldron, to chat about her new book, CSR is Not PR.
I was kindly gifted the book by the lovely folks at LID Publishing and wrote a short review back when I read the book in May which you can find here.
What we discussed
For the most part, we discussed Sangeeta’s new book, CSR is Not PR, but we also discussed Sangeeta’s acclaimed career history (including working for the Prime Minister) and her thoughts around CSR in today’s society.
CSR is a very hot topic today with consumers demanding companies voice their policies and regulations on tackling climate change, diversity, equality and more.
As consumers, we are no longer in the dark about what goes on in factories around the world, what goes on in the workplace and what companies are trying to hide to make themselves look good.
Information is everywhere and consumers are now actively seeking out companies that have great CSR policies and spending their money with these corporations, rather than the fast fashion brands and the brands that don’t pay their workers a fair wage or give them fair treatment.
An incredibly interesting topic, I’m sure you’ll really enjoy this episode on everything CSR and PR.
Where to listen
The podcast is available to stream right now on Anchor, Spotify, Apple Music and various other podcast streaming services.
