Welcome to episode 13 of The Orlagh Claire Podcast!
This podcast episode was a long time coming and probably one of my favourite episodes to record as I sat down with one of my best friends to talk about her business venture and becoming her own boss.
Aoibheann is one of the fiercest women I know, so it was no surprise when she told me she was going to start her own business and work for herself.
What we discussed
Naturally, we mostly discussed Dumb Dough, Aoibheann’s cookie company, but we also delved into Aoibheann’s previous work, her time at university and the reason she started her own business – and why she started it during a pandemic.
Aoibheann was furloughed from her corporate job in Corporate Social Responsibility when she started Dumb Dough, so to say this was quite a turn of events would be something of an understatement.
How does one go from working a 9-5 corporate job to starting an online cookie business?
You’ll have to listen to the podcast episode to find out!
