This was the first Abby Jimenez book I ever read and it was the perfect book to round out my summer. With a title like that, you really can’t read it in any other season, right?

I loved the dialogue between Justin and Emma, as it felt natural, was sarcastic in parts and had me chuckling out loud to myself. Mostly, it felt real, which I haven’t come across too often (not since Sally Rooney’s Normal People).

2. The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez

In everyone’s life, there’s a split-second decision that can change everything…

This book has caused a little bit of a stir online because ultimately, our male main character falls in love with his best friend’s girlfriend. Is that unethical? Are they emotionally cheating the whole time? I mean, there were signs from the outset but she was definitely better suited to the best friend.

I really enjoyed this, just as much as the first book in the series (Say You’ll Remember Me), but I will say it’s a very slow burn (mostly because the female main character is in a relationship already), but it’s worth the wait.

3. Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez

There’s no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong.

Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong… unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

Abby Jimenez delivers another heartfelt romance that blends sweetness with just enough emotional weight to keep it from feeling fluffy. The characters are lovable and well-developed, with chemistry that feels effortless, and the story has just the right mix of humour and heartache.

While it was a tad predictable in places, I didn’t mind because I was so invested in the journey. This is perfect if you want a warm, feel-good read that still tugs at your heartstrings.

4. Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez

Yours Truly follows Dr. Briana Ortiz, whose life seems to be falling apart as she navigates a difficult divorce, worries about her brother’s urgent need for a kidney donor, and competes with a new doctor for a long-awaited promotion. This is book 2 in the Part of Your World Series, but I actually read this in the wrong order, starting with book 3 (Just for the Summer) before reading book 1 (Part of Your World) and finishing with Yours Truly (book 2).

I don’t think it matters too much about the order as the connected character mentions aren’t vital to the plot of each book. They’re almost just a nod to the other books. I really enjoyed this one, especially our main male character Jacob.

I did find the female main character a little annoying at times and Jacob deserved more grace for what he was dealing with, but when I read the authors note at the end my jaw almost hit the floor.

After reading The Night We Met and loving it, I had to continue delving into Abby Jimenez’s past catalogue.

Part of Your World definitely wasn’t my favourite of the books on this best Abby Jimenez books list, but I did enjoy the story all the same. I didn’t feel that much chemistry between the two main characters, but enjoyed the small town aspect of the story and laughed out loud at a few parts.
