How to Get to 12 South Nashville
Getting to 12 South is super easy, whether you’re coming from downtown Nashville or other parts of the city.
The neighbourhood’s close proximity to downtown makes it one of the most accessible areas to explore during your visit.
By Uber or Lyft
I’d recommend catching an Uber or Lyft to 12 South. It’s about a 10-minute ride from downtown Nashville and saves you the hassle of finding parking.
Ride-sharing is especially convenient if you plan on sampling some of the area’s craft cocktails or don’t want to worry about navigating the small side streets.
By Public Transport
If you prefer to use public transport, you can take one of the city’s WeGo Public Transit buses.
Catch the #7 Hillsboro Pike/Green Hills line, which has stops along 12th Avenue South. It’s an affordable and straightforward way to get to the neighbourhood. Although schedules can vary, so be sure to check the timetable in advance.
Driving and Parking
If you’re driving, parking in 12 South can be a little tricky, especially during peak times or weekends.
There’s limited street parking along 12th Avenue South and a few free spaces on side streets, but they tend to fill up quickly. Be prepared to hunt for a spot or potentially park a little further away and walk in.
Another thing to keep in mind if you’re driving is the layout of the neighbourhood.
12 South is best experienced by starting at one end of 12th Avenue South and walking your way down. If you park your car, you’ll likely find yourself doubling back to get to where you started, which isn’t ideal if you’re carrying shopping bags or full from one of the neighbourhood’s amazing food spots.
