Aside from New York City, Nashville, Tennessee is my favourite city in America. There’s nowhere better to experience some of the best live country music than in the bars on Broadway.
Broadway, Nashville is one long street jam-packed with bars, tourists, live music and country songs. If you want to hear a song about heartbreak, whiskey or America, look no further.
One of the main reasons I want to live in Nashville is so I can visit the bars on Broadway anytime I choose.

An iconic honky-tonk with a rich history, Tootsie’s has hosted legendary musicians like Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline. Its three stages offer continuous live music from top local talents.
2. Honky Tonk Central
With three floors of live music and a lively crowd, Honky Tonk Central provides a quintessential Nashville experience. Each level offers a different band, ensuring a variety of musical styles.
3. The Stage on Broadway
Famous for its large dance floor and impressive rooftop, The Stage attracts both locals and tourists. It’s known for high-energy country music performances and its vibrant nightlife.
4. Robert’s Western World
A classic honky-tonk offering traditional country music, Robert’s is beloved for its authentic Nashville vibe. It’s also famous for its late-night burgers and bologna sandwiches. A must-visit for tourists.
5. Legends Corner
A staple on Broadway, Legends Corner is decorated with memorabilia from country music stars. It’s known for showcasing some of the best live country music in town.
6. Tin Roof
Tin Roof offers a fun, relaxed atmosphere with a diverse lineup of live music. Its rooftop bar provides great views of Broadway and the Nashville skyline. We visit here each time we come to Nashville.
7. Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse
This massive venue offers a mix of rock and country music across multiple floors. It’s known for its lively atmosphere and the chance to catch a surprise performance by Kid Rock himself.
8. Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar
You can’t miss Jason Aldean’s bar along the Broadway strip, and it’s one of the best. With two floors of live music, you’ll find great local artists on stage singing country chart favourites.
9. The Second Fiddle
Featuring a laid-back atmosphere, The Second Fiddle is perfect for those who appreciate classic country tunes. The bar is filled with vintage music memorabilia, adding to its charm.
10. AJ’s Good Time Bar
Owned by country star Alan Jackson, AJ’s offers four levels of live music and memorabilia from Jackson’s career. It’s a great spot for fans of traditional country music.
11. Whiskey Bent Saloon
Known for its friendly staff and excellent live music, Whiskey Bent Saloon has a welcoming atmosphere. It’s a great place to enjoy a drink and listen to talented local musicians.
12. Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row
Owned by country star Dierks Bentley, this bar combines modern amenities with a vintage vibe. It features three floors of live music, a rooftop patio, and a dance floor.
13. Tequila Cowboy
Tequila Cowboy offers a mix of country and rock music, along with line dancing and a mechanical bull. It’s a versatile venue that caters to a wide range of musical tastes.
