Welcome to the Checking In series on Orlagh Claire where I review my stay in hotels, hostels, guest houses and AirBnBs around the world. This review: New Coconut Bungalow, Koh Lanta, Thailand.
You can see hotel room tours of everywhere we’ve stayed over on my YouTube channel.
Next in this series of reviews is New Coconut Bungalow, Koh Lanta, Thailand which was our first Thai island stay at the beginning of our travels.
This was our first taste of island life in Thailand and it didn’t disappoint!
You can see a real-life tour of these bungalows in my Koh Lanta YouTube vlog below! The video also includes everywhere we ate and what we got up to on the island:

Top tip: for mobile data around Thailand, we used the Airalo eSim. This was super handy and easily installed onto our phones as soon as we landed in Krabi, Thailand!
Location of New Coconut Bungalow
Koh Lanta itself is a very quiet island. We were so surprised by the lack of traffic and people as we travelled around.
The New Coconut Bungalow is situated right on the beach, and was one of our favourite places to stay during our travels around Asia.
There are many bungalows in the resort, with the restaurant, bar and swimming pool looking directly onto the beach.
Leaving the bungalows, there are also a few restaurants nearby and of course, a 7-Eleven.

Cost to Stay Here
For our three night stay here (it definitely could have been much longer) we paid £47.38.
Meaning, £15.80 per night in the bungalow. And if we split it between the two of us sharing, it only cost us £7.90 each, per night.
Which, if you ask me, is an absolute bargain for a little hut right on the beach.

Review of New Coconut Bungalow, Koh Lanta
We adored our stay here at New Coconut Bungalow. It was the perfect place to chill out and completely relax. But also make use of their WiFi and get some work done looking out to sea.
Plus, before I forget, they have a few pet cats that are incredibly friendly and the cutest ever.
Koh Lanta treated us to some incredible sunsets during our time there. Made even better that we were a few steps away from the beach from our room.
If I’m ever back in Koh Lanta, I’ll be booking to stay here for sure!
