This blog post is all about the best Liane Moriarty books, reviewed and ranked in order.

Liane Moriarty is an automatic-buy author for me.
I’ve only read three of her books so far, but I can’t wait to get my hands on her full collection and read so much more.
With two of her books being turned into television series, you can see clearly how her stories are adapted for the screen as they almost read like a script.
All of these best Liane Moriarty books are quick to get through and have great dialogue. These are books I’ll remember for a long time and the TV series have been adapted so well.
I was even very lucky to actually meet Liane Moriarty (!!) during her recent book tour promoting the long-awaited sequel to Big Little Lies, Big Little Truths.
She signed the copy of my book and I even got to take a quick photo with her. It was such a cool experience, and my first time inside Sydney Opera House too.
She’s just as lovely as you’d imagine her to be too!

The Best Liane Moriarty Books Ranked in Order
Iโve read a number of Liane Moriartyโs novels and wanted to put together a guide to the best Liane Moriarty books to help you decide where to start.
From bestselling page-turners to stories that have made their way onto the screen, these are the books to pick up if youโre new to her writing or looking for your next read.

1. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty
Madeline is a force to be reckoned with. Sheโs funny, biting, and passionate; she remembers everything and forgives no one. Celeste is the kind of beautiful woman who makes the world stop and stare but she is paying a price for the illusion of perfection. New to town, single mom Jane is so young that another mother mistakes her for a nanny. She comes with a mysterious past and a sadness beyond her years.
These three women are at different crossroads, but they will all wind up in the same shocking place.
My Rating:ย โ โ โ โ โ
I watched the TV series in the space of two days and I was obsessed, so I was eager to read the book to see how it would compare. Iย lovedย this book, getting through all 500 pages in the space of one weekend because it was so easy to read. There were a few changes from the TV series, like the setting and the ending, but other than that, I couldnโt put it down.
It does help if youโve already seen the TV show, as you can picture the characters so clearly (especially Reese Witherspoon) and imagine the book playing out in your head. One of the best Liane Moriarty books by far!

2. The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty
Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secretโsomething with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive…
Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it allโsheโs an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Ceciliaโor each otherโbut they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husbandโs secret.
My Rating:ย โ โ โ โ
This is the second book by Liane Moriarty that I read, as I was eager to read another of her books after thoroughly enjoying Big Little Lies.
The Husbandโs Secret revolved around three women, all with a secret that connected them. At the beginning it was hard to get into and understand as it wasnโt overly clear that the chapters were changing between perspectives.
However, it was an easy read and I really enjoyed it. I could see the similarities between this and Big Little Lies.

3. Truly, Madly, Guilty by Liane Moriarty
Sam and Clementine have a wonderful, albeit, busy life: they have two little girls, Sam has just started a new dream job, and Clementine, a cellist, is busy preparing for the audition of a lifetime. If thereโs anything they can count on, itโs each other. Clementine and Erika are each otherโs oldest friends. A single look between them can convey an entire conversation. But theirs is a complicated relationship, so when Erika mentions a last minute invitation to a barbecue with her neighbours, Tiffany and Vid, Clementine and Sam donโt hesitate. Having Tiffany and Vidโs larger than life personalities there will be a welcome respite.
Two months later, it wonโt stop raining, and Clementine and Sam canโt stop asking themselves the question: What if we hadnโt gone?
My Rating:ย โ โ โ โ
I usually make my way through Liane Moriartyโs books with lightening speed, but I will admit it took me over two weeks to finish this one. This is the third Liane Moriarty book Iโve read and I will say that I probably preferred the previous two more. However, there were many twists and turns that I loved in this book and just when you thought you knew the whole story, something else was revealed to change that.
More Books to Read by Liane Moriarty
Iโve still got a few Liane Moriarty books left to work my way through, so naturally, theyโve made their way onto my ever-growing TBR.
Here are the Liane Moriarty books I havenโt read yet but am hoping to pick up next.

1. Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty
The last time we saw the women of Big Little LiesโMadeline, Celeste, Jane, Renata, and Bonnieโtheir children were five years old. If someone wasnโt invited to a birthday party, feelings were hurt. But ten years have passed and the kids are in high school, navigating all of the drama that accompanies teendom.
When the high school principal receives a threatening package in the mail, word quickly spreads throughout the community and parents are in an uproar. But Madeline, Celeste, Jane, Renata, and Bonnie have other things to worry about. Celesteโs mother-in-law, Mary Louise, is behaving oddlyโis it old-age forgetfulness and bluntness or something more sinister? Madeline is facing perhaps the biggest challenge of her life, Jane is at a dangerous fork in her marriage, Bonnie has realized thereโs only so much solace in yoga. And Renata? Renata is living her best lifeโrevenge is sweet.

2. Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
Frances Welty, the formerly best-selling romantic novelist, arrives at Tranquillum House nursing a bad back, a broken heart, and an exquisitely painful paper cut. Sheโs immediately intrigued by her fellow guests. Most of them donโt look to be in need of a health resort at all. But the person that intrigues her most is the strange and charismatic owner/director of Tranquillum House.
Could this person really have the answers Frances didnโt even know she was seeking? Should Frances put aside her doubts and immerse herself in everything Tranquillum House has to offer โ or should she run while she still can?
Itโs not long before every guest at Tranquillum House is asking exactly the same question.

3. Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty
Flight attendant Allegra Patel loves her job, but today is her twenty-eighth birthday and sheโd rather not be placating a plane full of passengers unhappy about a long delay. Thereโs the well-dressed man in seat 4C desperate not to miss his daughterโs musical. A harried mother frantically tries to keep her toddler and baby quiet. Honeymooners still in their wedding finery dream of their new lives, while a chatty emergency room nurse dreams of retirement.
Suddenly a woman traveling alone stands. She walks down the aisle making predictions about how and when passengers will die. Some dismiss her, they donโt believe in psychics. Some are delighted with her prophecies! Their lives will supposedly be long. Others are appalled.
Then: a few months later, the first prediction comes true.

4. Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty
The Delaneys are fixtures in their community. The parents, Stan and Joy, are the envy of all of their friends. Theyโre killers on the tennis court, and off it their chemistry is palpable. But after fifty years of marriage, theyโve finally sold their famed tennis academy and are ready to start what should be the golden years of their lives. So why are Stan and Joy so miserable?
The four Delaney childrenโAmy, Logan, Troy, and Brookeโwere tennis stars in their own right, yet as their father will tell you, none of them had what it took to go all the way. But thatโs okay, now that theyโre all successful grown-ups and there is the wonderful possibility of grandchildren on the horizon.
One night a stranger named Savannah knocks on Stan and Joyโs door, bleeding after a fight with her boyfriend. The Delaneys are more than happy to give her the small kindness she sorely needs. If only that was all she wanted.

5. Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty
Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful thirty-three-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Together, laughter, drama, and mayhem follow them,ย butย apart, each is dealing with her own share of ups and downs.ย ย
Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage, and Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, holds out hope for lasting love.ย
