Best Time of Year to Visit Dubai for Good Weather

If you’re looking for warm sunshine, clear skies and ideal sightseeing conditions, the best time of year to visit Dubai is between November and March.

During these months, temperatures are comfortably warm—typically ranging from 24°C to 30°C during the day and cooler in the evenings. It’s perfect for beach days, desert safaris, rooftop brunches and all the outdoor adventures Dubai has to offer.

This is also when you’ll find the city at its liveliest, with major events, international festivals, and a buzzing social calendar.

Key Months to Visit Dubai:

  • November to March
  • Daytime temps: 24–30°C
  • Low humidity
  • Ideal for first-time visitors

We visited Dubai in March and it was a great time of year to visit Dubai! The two days we had there were hot, but not horrendously so. You can see everything we got up to during our 48 hours in Dubai in my YouTube vlog below:

Visiting Dubai in the Winter: November to March

This is peak season in Dubai, and with good reason. These months offer the most pleasant weather for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

If you’re coming from a colder climate, it’s also the perfect time of year to visit Dubai to escape the chill and soak up the sun.

Why Visit Dubai During Winter?

  • You can explore the desert, visit Dubai Marina, walk around Jumeirah, and dine alfresco without overheating.
  • Hotels, beach clubs and restaurants are in full swing with vibrant nightlife and international visitors.

What to Expect:

  • Higher prices on flights and accommodation
  • Bigger crowds at popular attractions
  • Need to book hotels and excursions well in advance

Key Events in Dubai During Winter:

  • Dubai Shopping Festival (Dec–Jan) – Major discounts, raffles, and fashion shows across malls and stores
  • Dubai Food Festival (Feb) – A must for foodies, with tastings, pop-ups and exclusive dining events
  • New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Burj Khalifa and other iconic landmarks
  • Dubai Marathon (Jan) – International sporting event attracting runners from around the world

Shoulder Season: April and October

If you want to avoid the crowds but still enjoy decent weather, April and October are great months and time of year to visit Dubai.

While temperatures start rising in April and begin to cool in October, both months still offer a good balance for sightseeing and lower prices.

Why Visit Dubai in April or October?

  • Fewer tourists compared to peak months
  • More affordable hotel rates and tour prices
  • Perfect for travellers who don’t mind a bit of heat

Dubai Events to Check Out:

  • Art Dubai (March–April) – Contemporary art fair attracting global galleries and artists
  • GITEX Global (Oct) – A major tech expo and trade show
  • Dubai Fitness Challenge (Oct–Nov) – City-wide wellness event with free fitness classes and challenges

When to Avoid Visiting Dubai: June to August

Unless you’re a serious heat lover or planning to spend your entire trip in air-conditioned malls and hotels, summer in Dubai (June–August) is best avoided.

Daytime temperatures can soar above 45°C (113°F), and even nights remain hot and humid.

While Dubai is very much a year-round destination, the summer months can be uncomfortable for most travellers—especially if you’re hoping to explore on foot or enjoy the beaches.

That said, there are perks to visiting Dubai in the summer:

  • Massive discounts on luxury hotels
  • Shorter queues at attractions
  • Indoor activities like skiing at Mall of the Emirates, visiting the Museum of the Future, or exploring the Dubai Aquarium

Just be prepared:

  • Outdoor activities are limited during the day
  • Walking tours and desert trips may not be offered
  • You’ll be reliant on taxis and air-conditioned transport

Visiting Dubai During Ramadan

Ramadan is a sacred month of fasting observed by Muslims, and it typically shifts by about 10–12 days each year.

In 2025, Ramadan is expected to take place from February 28 to March 29, though dates may vary slightly.

How Ramadan Affects Tourists:

  • Eating, drinking, and smoking in public during daylight hours is prohibited
  • Many restaurants will be closed or operate at reduced hours during the day, but open for Iftar (breaking the fast) in the evening
  • Some entertainment venues may pause or alter performances
  • Alcohol may be restricted or served after sunset

Should You Visit Dubai During Ramadan?

Absolutely—just with awareness. The evenings come alive with Iftar tents, cultural performances, and late-night shopping.
