I love YouTube. I especially love Book YouTube, and book YouTubers.
Watching people talk about the books they’ve read is my go-to when I log onto YouTube. Whether I’m eating my lunch, on a four hour bus across Thailand or even on the treadmill in the gym.
There’s something so soothing but interesting I find about book reviews and recommendations.
I’ve put together a list of my favourite nine book influencers on YouTube, if you’re in the market for some new book YouTubers to watch.
Oh, and while we’re on the topic of YouTube, don’t forget I have a YouTube channel following my travels around the world. And you may be seeing some book content on there soon…

1. Sara Carrolli
Sara talks a mile-a-minute, but I love it. As a fellow fast-talker I enjoy the pace that she races through her book reviews and recommendations as her energy and enthusiasm shines through.
Also being from New Jersey (where I spent an amazing 12 months) I feel a certain affiliation for her content outside of books when she posts weekly vlogs or a ‘day in the life’ video.
Not to mention, her recommendations are always spot-on and I’ve read so many 5-star books thanks to her. A special mention for her recommending the Magnolia Parks series because it’s one of the best book series I’ve ever read.
My favourite book YouTuber for sure!
2. Jack Edwards
There was no doubt that Jack Edwards was going to make this list. As ‘YouTube’s resident librarian’, there’s no-one that represents Book YouTubers quite like Jack.
I go to Jack’s channel for literary fiction reviews, as well as some comedy as his sarcasm and one-liners always add that something extra to his videos.
I can definitely see a career in presenting in Jack’s future as he speaks to the camera so well, but I know he’s in the middle of writing his own book which I’m very excited to read in the future!
3. Rachel Catherine
Probably the most soothing Book YouTuber that I watch, Rachel is from Australia and has the nicest accent.
I love her idea of a TBR jar that helps her get through her wide collection of books, so much so that I even replicated the idea myself back in London to tackle the books I had forgotten about.
Plus, I love the small glimpses into Rachel’s Australian life as I’m moving there myself soon!
4. Mina Reads
With the same reading taste, I love watching Mina’s YouTube videos for book recommendations and also reviews.
You’ll find her monthly book wrap ups, book hauls and honest reviews of popular books that she didn’t love or didn’t even finish. So for the most honest reviews, definitely check out Mina’s channel.
5. Haley Pham
Haley was a later find for me on Book YouTube, even though she and her husband have been in the YouTube world for years.
A very quick reader, Hayley usually reads around twenty books per month, so her monthly round-ups are always full of great recommendations.
You won’t find any spicy books on Haley’s shelves however, so definitely one to watch if you’re not into that!
6. The Book Leo
One of the most popular Book YouTubers on YouTube, The Book Leo creates a lot of video content surrounding dark academia and fantasy novels.
Recently she’s been focusing a lot on TikTok-hyped books which I find myself reading a lot of, so one to check out if you’re a fan of the hyped books like I am!
7. Booked and Busy
Aaron from Booked and Busy is a recent find for me on YouTube, and I love that she posts twice per week, so I always have new book videos to watch.
She has a very similar reading taste to myself, so I love watching her videos for recommendations and reviews.
8. Destiny Sidwell
I came across Destiny’s channel through Sara Carrolli as they’re best friends and create a lot of cross-over content. They also have a podcast together discussing books they’ve read and bookish news.
Destiny’s content is similar to Sara’s, so if you like that, then you’ll definitely enjoy Destiny’s videos too.
9. Elena Taber
Not officially in the ‘Book YouTubers’ category, but I wanted to add Elena in anyway.
Elena is one of my favourite New York YouTubers to watch, but she has such a wide variety of content that covers many different topics.
From visiting apartments in New York (she visited Tara’s Brooklyn loft here), to her travel series where she visits locals in the places she visits. Plus, talking about climate change or more recently, her moving to Paris content.
Like I said, you’ll find a wide mix of content on Elena’s channel, but she often adds in some book recommendations and books that she has currently read.
