Why I Enjoyed Staying at APA Hotel Asakusabashi Ekimae
During my recent trip to Japan, I spent six nights at APA Hotel Asakusabashi Ekimae while exploring Tokyo before heading onwards to Mount Fuji. And honestly, it turned out to be the perfect base for my stay.
If you’re looking for an affordable, comfortable, and also well-located hotel in Tokyo, I’d definitely recommend it.
A Comfortable & Convenient Stay
From the moment I checked in, I found the hotel to be incredibly efficient. The self-check-in kiosks made the process so quick and hassle-free, which is always a bonus after a long journey.
The rooms, while compact (as expected in Tokyo), were modern, clean, and well-equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The bed was surprisingly cozy, the blackout curtains helped me recover from jet lag, and the daily housekeeping service kept the room spotless.
One thing I really appreciated was the small but useful amenities like a mini fridge, a kettle, and even an air purifier, which made the room feel much more functional.
The free WiFi was also fast and reliable, which was essential for planning my Tokyo itinerary each night.
A Great Location for Exploring Tokyo
One of the highlights of staying at APA Hotel Asakusabashi Ekimae was its amazing location. With Asakusabashi Station just a 2-minute walk away, getting around Tokyo was so effortless.
It was so easy to hop on a train and be in Akihabara within minutes, explore Asakusa’s historic Senso-ji Temple, or head over to Ueno for museums and parks.
The train station being so close also made our onward travels so convenient. Getting to Mount Fuji from here was so straightforward thanks to the direct train connections.
I also loved how the area had a more local feel, away from the craziness of Shinjuku or Shibuya. It was so nice to come back after a busy day of sightseeing and grab a bowl of ramen or sushi from one of the affordable local restaurants nearby.
