Each quarter of the year, I’m going to introduce the 10 beauty products that I am currently obsessing over.
As I work in the beauty industry, I spend a lot of my time reading about the latest beauty products and watching the many reviews and swatches on TikTok.
Like any other beauty-obsessed person, I can’t help myself from purchasing the latest viral beauty products on social media and testing them out for myself.
See below the ten beauty products that have been tried and tested over the past few months and that I would highly recommend adding to your beauty routine.
Gucci Illuminateur de Beaute Highlighter
The most stunning bottle of gold liquid, I may be adoring this purely for aesthetical reasons in my makeup bag, but luckily it also does a great job at creating a glowing highlight. I add this to the top of my cheekbones, brow bone and tip of my nose for a natural glow on top of my makeup. Plus, a very little amount goes a very long way so you’re going to get so much for your money with this purchase.
Glossier Cloud Paint in Puff
I needed a liquid blush to add to my makeup routine and I found the perfect one in Glossier’s Cloud Paint shade Puff. It’s the brightest pop of pink that blends down to look like a natural rosy sheen. It’s going to be a great addition for winter makeup.
Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara
I’m a bit of a mascara fiend, but I don’t tend to spend excessive amounts on it. A high street mascara is going to be as good as any luxury one as there’s not much to differentiate. However, Maybelline have definitely been leading the mascara game for a while and I can see why. Their colossal mascara has been my go-to for a while now and I’ve just made a repeat purchase this month.
Supergoop! Matte Screen SPF 40
Supergoop! has been one of those brands that I’ve seen all over social media for the last few years now and I’ve been dying to try their sunscreen since it’s said to be one of the best in the beauty industry. I finally got my hands on it after a recent visit to Sephora in Las Vegas and can say I’m a huge fan. My only negative review is that it feels almost like a paste when adding to the skin, but it does dry in very quickly and feels protective.
Burberry Goddess EDP
The new fragrance launch from Burberry has been everywhere and I can see why it’s become a firm favourite so quickly. The heavy scent of vanilla is comforting and sweet and I don’t think I’ve ever received so many compliments on a fragrance before!
KyBrow by Kylie Cosmetics
I haven’t delved into the world of laminated brows, although I have often been tempted. The Kybrow from Kylie Cosmetics lets me attempt a subtle bit of flair, lifting the hairs on the end of my brows to frame the face a bit more and see what I think of a semi-laminated brow for a few hours. So far, so good.
Gucci Nail Polish in Melinda Green
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve been getting my nails professionally done for the past two years but had them removed for the first time in September this year. I’m giving my nails a break for a change (and saving some money) and resorting to regular nail polish and my own manual labour. The nail polish brand I’ve been loving is the Gucci nail polishes, particularly Melinda Green.
Sienna X Self Tan Q10 Tinted Mousse
Being 100% Irish, I don’t tan naturally. Never have, and never will. Unfortunately for me, my tan comes in the form of a bottle and I have tried and tested many brands over the years to find my favourite. I’ve been a loyal consumer of Sienna X for the past five years or so, finding that this gives a gorgeous colour, lasts around a week at a time and comes off quite well. Plus, it also smells really good.
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Toner
My evening skincare routine could definitely be better, but when it comes to toners, there’s none that I like more on my skin than the Fresh Rose toner which contains rose petals inside the water. It not only feels like it’s doing the job, but smells great and feels amazing on the skin.
Olay Everyday Sunshine Moisturiser
I discovered this by accident in an airport as I had mistakenly packed my moisturiser in my hold luggage before a long haul flight and needed to bring a moisturiser on board (if you remember my plane acne story, then you’ll know why) and picked up this Olay one. I’ve bought seven bottles of the stuff since and hope they launch a bigger size soon.
