This blog post is all about my review of the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla Sage.

If you love small-town romances, cowboys with emotional baggage, and stories that feel like wrapping yourself in a flannel blanket, then the Rebel Blue Ranch series by Lyla Sage deserves a spot on your TBR.
Set in the fictional town of Meadowlark, Wyoming, this series delivers everything I want from a comfort read: found family, slow-burn romance, sharp banter, and characters who actually grow with each book.
I’ve read my way through the entire Rebel Blue Ranch series, and in this post I’m breaking down each book, sharing my honest ratings, and talking about what I loved, what surprised me, and which couples completely stole my heart.
And if you’d like to keep up with my reading in realtime, you can follow me on Goodreads here!

Reviews of the Rebel Blue Ranch Series in Order
Below you’ll find the complete Rebel Blue Ranch series in order, my ratings and my reviews of each book.

1. Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage
After a riding accident derails her career, Clementine “Emmy” Ryder is forced to return to the small Wyoming town she once escaped, unsure of who she is without horses.
Back in Meadowlark, she runs straight into Luke Brooks, her brother’s best friend and the town’s resident bad boy, whose long-simmering attraction to Emmy quickly reignites.
As Emmy struggles to rebuild her life, the two are drawn together in a fiery, forbidden romance that threatens to change everything they thought they wanted.
My Rating: ★★★★★
This book is pure serotonin. The small-town vibes, the cowboy energy, the stubborn, spark-loaded back-and-forth between Emmy and Brooks, I was hooked.
I can see why people adore this series; it feels like binge-watching your favourite comfort-show.
I grinned the whole way through and bought the second book straight away.

2. Swift and Swaddled by Lyla Sage
Swift and Swaddled by Lyla Sage follows Ada Hart, a fiercely independent interior designer starting fresh after a failed marriage and career setback, who lands a dream project at a Wyoming ranch. Things get complicated when the cowboy she shared a one-night spark with turns out to be her new boss, Weston Ryder.
With forced proximity, undeniable chemistry, and plenty of emotional walls in the way, this small-town romance leans hard into opposites attract and the tension between protecting your independence and risking it all for love.
My Rating: ★★★★
I finally got around to reading the second book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and it was almost as amazing as the first. We follow Emmy’s brother Wes in this book and as lovely as the story was, I did miss Emmy and Brooks from the first book.
However, the setting, the found family and wider set of characters in this series had me falling even deeper in love with the world that Lyla Sage has built in Wyoming.

3. Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage
Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage centres on Teddy Andersen, a free-spirited small-town girl suddenly questioning her future, and Gus Ryder, an overworked rancher juggling family responsibilities and single dad life. When Gus reluctantly hires Teddy to help out for the summer, their long-standing irritation turns into slow-burning tension and unexpected chemistry.
With changing life paths, forced proximity, and feelings neither of them planned for, this instalment delivers a classic enemies-to-lovers romance wrapped in small-town ranch life.
My Rating: ★★★★
Book number 3 in the Rebel Blue Ranch series, I just couldn’t stay away from Meadowlark, Wyoming and this family.
I was very excited to read Gus’s story in particular as he’s quite a big character throughout all of the books, and I loved the role his little girl played throughout too.
This would be my second favourite book in the series if I had to rank them.

4. Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage
Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage follows Camille Ashwood after her perfectly planned life implodes when she’s left at the altar and suddenly homeless. Moving next door to her first love, Dusty Tucker, forces Cam to confront both her carefully controlled future and the feelings she never truly let go of.
As old wounds resurface and long-buried emotions reignite, this final Rebel Blue Ranch instalment delivers a heartfelt second-chance romance about choosing roots, forgiveness, and love that refuses to stay in the past.
My Rating: ★★★★★
The final book in the Rebel Blue Ranch series and I’m a devastated! I wasn’t overly anticipating Cam and Dusty’s story as Dusty was a recent addition to the other books and we don’t learn much about Cam throughout the first three books.
I did like the new past and present tense storytelling element, but what really made this book five-stars for me was the short story at the end, wrapping up the series.
We get a short story of Emmy and Brooks’ wedding day and I shed actual tears reading it. I loved this series so much.
More Books by Lyla Sage to Read
So far, Lyla Sage has only published one other book outside of the Rebel Blue Ranch series which is Soul Searching as seen below.
Soul Searching is book 1 of the Sweetwater Peak book series, but is the only book published so far (in September 2025) and we’ll have to wait and see how many books end up in this series.

1. Soul Searching by Lyla Sage
When Collins Cartwright is forced to return to her Wyoming hometown to help save her parents’ antiques shop, she’s also quietly grappling with a stalled career and the sudden loss of her ability to see ghosts.
Renting a room above a furniture store owned by the enigmatic Brady Cooper seems temporary, until sparks fly, secrets surface, and the ghosts meddling in their lives refuse to stay quiet.
What starts as a reluctant homecoming turns into a slow-burn romance about healing, belonging, and finding your way back to yourself.
Rebel Blue Ranch Series Review
Overall, the Rebel Blue Ranch series is the kind of romance collection that’s incredibly easy to binge, especially if you’re in the mood for heartfelt love stories with a strong sense of place.
Each book brings its own dynamic, trope, and emotional arc, while still feeling deeply connected to the world Lyla Sage has created in Meadowlark.
Whether you’re here for grumpy cowboys, second chances, slow-burn tension, or that comforting small-town vibe, there’s something in this series for every romance reader.
If you’re looking for a cozy, addictive romance series to sink into, the Rebel Blue Ranch series is absolutely worth the ride.
