This blog post is all about The Blue Hotel Bondi.

If you’re looking for a trendy and luxurious stay in one of Sydney’s most iconic neighbourhoods, The Blue Hotel Bondi is the perfect place for a coastal escape.
I recently checked in for a two-night midweek staycation and can safely say it was one of the most stylish and enjoyable city breaks I’ve had in a while.
Located just a short walk from Bondi Beach and tucked away in the heart of Bondi Junction, The Blue Hotel Bondi blends boutique charm with urban convenience.
With beautifully designed rooms, thoughtful details, and an onsite restaurant that’s worth visiting even if you’re not staying the night, this hotel makes the perfect base for a Sydney getaway.
Here’s everything you need to know if you’re considering a stay at The Blue Hotel Bondi.
First Impressions of The Blue Hotel Bondi
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that The Blue Hotel Bondi offers something a little different. The building’s Art Deco exterior hints at its historic roots, while the interiors are sleek, modern, and filled with curated design touches.
The check-in process is seamless and digital, making it easy to arrive and settle in at your own pace.
As a midweek staycation, it felt calm and peaceful throughout our visit. Ideal for a couple of days to unwind and recharge in style.
The lobby has a lounge-style atmosphere, with beautiful furniture and coastal accents that immediately make you feel at home.
The Rooms at The Blue Hotel Bondi
Each room at The Blue Hotel Bondi is designed with comfort and aesthetics in mind. We stayed in one of the Deluxe Queen rooms and were instantly impressed by the thoughtful layout and curated decor.
The colour palette is soothing, combining soft blues, natural wood, and crisp white linen to echo the nearby ocean.
Amenities in the room include a Dyson hairdryer, Nespresso machine, sustainable toiletries, and a fully-stocked mini bar.
There’s also a smart TV with streaming services and excellent WiFi. Everything you need for a comfortable and connected stay.
One of my favourite touches was the use of digital door codes instead of room keys, which meant no fumbling with cards. Plus, the windows opened out to leafy views, giving us a sense of calm in the heart of the city.

Dining at Italo House
A standout feature of our stay at The Blue Hotel Bondi was the incredible dinner we had at their onsite restaurant, Italo House.
This Italian-inspired eatery brings a slice of Mediterranean charm to Bondi, with dishes that are as comforting as they are elegant.
We both opted for a recommended pasta dish and the portions were very generous while being incredibly tasty. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, with plenty of Australian and Italian options to pair with your meal.
I highly recommend the Nutella pizza for dessert to share. So tasty it should be illegal!
The setting is intimate and warmly lit, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed catch-up with friends. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, Italo House is well worth a visit.
And if you happen to be visiting on a Tuesday, it’s 50% off mains (pizza and pasta).
Location, Location, Location
The Blue Hotel Bondi is ideally situated for both beach lovers and city explorers. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Bondi Beach and a bus ride to Bondi Junction for shopping, cafes, and public transport links.
Whether you’re in the mood for a coastal walk along the Bondi to Coogee trail or brunch at a local cafe, everything is within easy reach.
For anyone planning to explore more of Sydney, Bondi Junction station is a hub for trains and buses that can take you across the city, making this hotel a smart choice if you want to explore without the hassle of parking or driving.

Extra Perks
The hotel has a number of nice extras that make a difference. There’s a 24/7 digital concierge service if you need help or local recommendations, and the hotel is proudly eco-conscious with sustainable practices throughout.
Refillable water stations are located on each floor, and many of the room amenities are biodegradable or plastic-free.
There’s also a cosy lounge space that’s perfect for working remotely or relaxing with a coffee, and free breakfast and sweet treats throughout the day.
Who Should Stay at The Blue Hotel Bondi?
If you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a solo traveller in need of some beachside peace, or even a Sydneysider craving a luxe staycation, The Blue Hotel Bondi is a fantastic option.
It’s chic and modern without being pretentious, and offers a perfect mix of convenience and charm.
It’s also worth mentioning that The Blue Hotel Bondi is adult-friendly, which adds to the serene and laid-back atmosphere.

My Final Review of The Blue Hotel Bondi
Overall, our two-night stay at The Blue Hotel Bondi was everything we hoped it would be. From the beautifully designed rooms to the delicious food at Italo House, every aspect of our stay felt carefully considered and effortlessly chic.
It’s clear that this hotel understands what modern travellers want: a balance of design, comfort, location, and experience.
Whether you’re visiting from out of town or treating yourself to a Sydney staycation like we did, The Blue Hotel Bondi is well worth checking into.
We left feeling refreshed, full, and already thinking about our next visit.
