Oh hello, throwback to when I used to write my #FridayFive blog posts every single week. How much time I did have back then.
Here’s a special edition Friday Five for you, this time talking about Irish influencers that I love and that you must follow this instant to brighten up your day, week, month and year.
Slainte.
1. Sophie Murray
I want to call Sophie Murray the lockdown queen because she’s gained over 100,000 followers since March of last year when the pandemic rudely came onto the scene.
She’s a bundle of energy (be ready for it) and Instagram’s favourite agony aunt. Not only that, but she’s also got the most amazing wardrobe and wears the coolest outfits.
I wish I can be as cool as Sophie Murray someday.
2. Emma Kearney
One word – meow. If you know Emma Kearney, then you know what I’m referring to.
Probably the funniest person that I follow on Instagram as I live for her Instagram stories every day. I feel like Emma reflects what I want to do in life and that’s get into bed at 7pm and watch endless episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.
If you want to cheer yourself up, take a second to go and watch Emma’s Instagram story and I’m sure you’ll have a smile on your face.
Not to mention that Emma and I are basically best friends now that we’ve worked on a few influencer marketing campaigns together.
3. Aileen Amelia
Aileen is what we would refer to as a micro influencer and I just love her Instagram feed. Aileen’s an absolute ray of sunshine with so much colour and vibrancy on her account through her fashion and nails (she’s a nail artist FYI).
If only I could be as bold with my outfit choices.
Aileen also posts the books she’s reading and lots of information on manifesting and journaling which we can’t help but love.
So if you’re looking for a burst of colour into your life, I’d definitely recommend checking out Aileen’s account.
4. Emma Noodle
Unsure if Noodle is Emma’s real second name, but it’s her Instagram name so we’re going with it.
Another fashion influencer to add to the list, but Emma brings a lot of class to my feed (which it often lacks thanks to my best friends) and I first started following Emma as she used to post very helpful (and fashionable) ‘What to Wear to Work’ Instagram stories and posts.
But most of all, Emma makes looking classy affordable for us mere mortals, which we all have to thank her for.
Personally, I think she should have made the Stella Magazine’s Fashion Influencer shortlist but what do I know? Maybe I’m just biased because I’m obsessed with her account.
5. Rosie Connolly
I feel like Rosie Connolly is the Lydia Millen/Victoria Magrath of Ireland. Like, the elite Instagram influencer.
There’s nothing Rosie Connolly posts that I don’t want to buy. If Rosie Connolly has short hair, I want short hair. If Rosie Connolly has long hair, I want long hair. If Rosie Connolly goes out in her swimming suit, I’ll go out in mine (no I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t be so horrible to the outside world).
If you’re looking for an amazing influencer, entrepreneur and mum to three kids at the same time, look no further.
The ultimate Irish girl boss, I’d love to know how she does it all.
Ok, what’s the odds on getting all of the above girls on my podcast? I’m going to make all our dreams come true, just wait.
You’re probably thinking uhhhh how could she not mention Sinead Hegarty, Siobhan O’Hagan, Erika Fox or Tara Mar?! But you will find them in both my email newsletters to subscribe to (and throughout my blog really) and New York-Irish influencers to follow blog posts.
Like I would leave them out, pfft.
