As a somewhat travel creator myself, I love nothing more than following other travel accounts for inspiration and destinations to add to my ever-growing bucket list. But what I love most, is discovering other Irish travel creators to follow.
My list below isn’t extensive, and I’m always on the lookout for more Irish travel creators to follow online. If you know of any that should also make this list, make sure to add them in the comments!
Keep up with my current travels around Asia over on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and in my weekly travel diaries on here.
1. Janet Newenham
Janet is definitely one of my favourite Irish travel creators. Based in Bali, Janet travels off the beaten path – a lot.
She hosts group trips throughout the year to destinations like Iraq, Ethiopia and Japan. I love being able to discover these places through her social media and hopefully I can join one of her group tours in the future!
2. Steph My Life
I feel like I’ve been following Steph My Life for years. I love that she’s able to split her time between Europe and Asia each year, with a base in Bangkok and a base in Italy.
Steph gives so much knowledge and advice away for free, and is such a good resource for travels around the world.
Since I’ll be spending a month in Bangkok very soon, she’s my go-to at the moment for places to go and things to see and do.
3. Mark and Nadine
Nadine makes up the Irish side of this creator couple, and their account has been a source of inspiration and advice for myself as I’ve been travelling Thailand.
The couple live in Phuket, Thailand with Nadine a part-time teacher and her husband Mark working for weeks at a time in Australia.
For things to see and do in Thailand (especially Phuket), give this couple a follow!
4. A Girl Who Blooms
I would say A Girl Who Blooms was one of the main inspirations for us to travel to Bali back in 2021. It was the furthest I’d ever been from the UK, but Siobhan’s content made me book my ticket and pack my bags.
Siobhan shows some of the best places to stay in Bali and on the other islands of Indonesia. If you need a dose of wanderlust (and some cute dog content) look no further.
I was also very lucky to interview Siobhan and her husband Joe on my podcast a few years ago, to talk all about moving to and living in Bali and how they became full-time content creators. You can check this out below:
5. Niamh Travels
A recent discovery of mine, Niamh creates the most beautiful travel content. Think stunning editing, gorgeous imagery and content that’s going to make you book a flight.
Niamh is currently travelling around Asia so has been a source of travel tips and inspiration for me recently. She’s also hosting group trips this year, if you’d like to check those out too!
6. Dev Skehan
I followed Dev while she was on her backpacking travels around Asia, as I was preparing to do the same. Since then, Dev has returned back to Ireland, and I’m actually really enjoying the Irish travel content she’s creating. She’s becoming one of my favourite Irish travel creators to follow.
I love to let people know I’m Irish, but I haven’t fully explored the island that I come from. That’s always the way with the place you live, but following Dev makes me want to rent a camper van and spend a few months seeing every inch of the country.
For gorgeous Irish travel content, retreats, sea dips and positive energy on your feed, head to Dev’s account!
