Welcome to the Checking In series on Orlagh Claire where I review my stay in hotels, hostels, guest houses and AirBnBs around the world. This review: Pisces Hotel in Hue, Vietnam.
You can see hotel room tours of everywhere we’ve stayed over on my YouTube channel.
Next in this series of reviews is Pisces Hotel in Hue, Vietnam which was one of the most stunning hotels we stayed in during our travels.
It was like walking into a riad in Marrakech! The colours, tiles and decor of the entire place was incredible.
If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, or somewhere quirky to stay during your travels, look no further.

Top tip: for mobile data around Vietnam, we used the Airalo eSim. This was super handy and easily installed onto our phones as soon as we crossed the border via bus into Ho Chi Minh!
Location of Pisces Hotel
Pisces Hotel is situated very centrally in the town of Hue. A small thing to note is that it’s down a little alley way, so cars and minivans aren’t able to drop you directly at the door.
However, from the main street, it’s a two minute walk to the front door.
For exploring Hue itself, we found it to be in a great location. Only a few minutes walk from some great coffee shops and restaurants we had saved to visit.
Cost
We spent just one night at Pisces Hotel as there isn’t that much to do in the town of Hue. It was definitely somewhere I could have stayed longer, but we were catching a sleeper bus on the second evening to our next destination of Nimh Binh.
For our double room for one night, this cost us £18.56. So per person, this cost us £9.28 each. Which was an incredible bargain for this stunning hotel.
Overall Review of Pisces Hotel
This was one of my favourite hotel stays during our three months of travelling so far. Incredibly unique and vibrant, it really stands out amongst other hotels and locations around Vietnam.
Plus, the bedroom was beautiful, and the hotel also had a pool in the main courtyard. Adding to the riad and Marrakech effect.
I wish we could have stayed longer here as the staff were also great and incredibly helpful. One of our favourite stays on our travels, without a doubt!
