We’re almost into the final five months of 2021 and even though the year started off excruciatingly slowly due to being locked inside for the first four months or more, the year has finally started to speed up and I feel like 2022 is going to be upon us before we even know it.
Surprisingly, a lot has changed for me during the past seven months and I’ve finally returned to a headspace where I know where I’m at and what I want to achieve again.
The past couple of months have been a bit of a blur with a lot of coming and going, and I very quickly lost my way in terms of goals and working towards my long-term plan.
BUT after some soul-searching, spending a few weeks in the quiet mountains of Wales, watching some manifesting TikTok videos and a lot of TarMar YouTube videos, I’ve finally given myself the well and truly needed kick up the ass to get back on track.
As a reminder to myself and to you, here are my goals for 2021.
How 2021 has gone so far
We started off 2021 in Liverpool in lockdown. Not that I’m complaining as Liverpool is and will forever be my second home. However, there are only so many laps you can do of the Albert Docks every single evening before you start to go a bit mad.
Plus add in the fact that my job at the time was driving me around the bend because I was thinking about my PuRpOsE in life and how working for a huge financial firm that was mainly located in the US clearly wasn’t it.
Now I’m back giving social media influencers a lot of money for 10 second TikTok videos so I won’t say that I’m living out my true purpose just yet but it’s a vast improvement on the financial scene.
So in the last seven months I’ve got myself a new job. A permanent job. One that can be quite stressful at times, but it’s fast-paced, high-energy and I really do enjoy it. Plus I really like the people I work with and I don’t wake up dreading the day ahead which is just rather lovely.
Thanks to my new job being completely remote, I’ve taken full advantage of this and been moving around the whole of the UK for the last three months or so. I’ve been living in Edinburgh, Manchester, Cardiff, Swansea and heading back to Manchester again in a matter of days.
I’ve seen a large amount of Scotland and Wales in the last few months, two countries I hadn’t actually been to before March of this year. So travelling has been fun (with what little travel can be done).
All in all it hasn’t been the worst seven months, but we’re back to being focused on the bigger picture and the long-term plan. Yes, I feel like I can say the word ‘plan’ again without throwing a sarcastic *ha* look at the person I’m saying it to.
The plan ahead
We’re back manifesting, we’re back planning and we’re back to putting the work in because the harder you work, the more that comes your way.
There’s a long-term plan in place and I know what I have to do to get there.
I need to get back to working on myself and my projects outside of work because right now life is 90% work and 10% Love Island.
So if that means I have to get up at 6am every morning to give myself extra time, we’re doing it. If it means working in the evenings when I could be watching Netflix, then we’re doing it. If it means leaping outside of my comfort zone (note I said leaping and not stepping) then we’re bloody well doing it.
The mindset, the manifestation
I’m writing down goals, writing them into existence. I’m speaking them out loud, putting them out into the universe.
But I’m not just writing them down or saying them out loud because someone’s not going to hear your asks and hand them straight to you. You’ve got to put the work in, you’ve got to show you’re committed to what you’re asking for and that you really want it.
So we’re starting to put the work in, we’re doing something every single day that will bring us closer to our goals and we’re going to work our ass off to achieve those goals because we want them so badly.
We have 165 days left of 2021. 165 days to do something, no matter how small, to get us closer to our long-term goals. Can you tell I’ve read Atomic Habits?
We’re moving, we’re doing and we’re achieving.
We’re going to end 2021 on a high, be closer to our goals than we are today and ready to make 2022 the year that it all happens.
Ahem, the goals?
Ah yes, the important part.
Well you all know I want to get back to living my best life in New York, and well the US doesn’t make it all that easy to get there, so I’ve got a lot of things to do before they let me through those pearly gates of Newark Airport.
I’ll be back blogging, I’ll be back podcasting, I’ll be back making content and I’ll be starting from scratch on a few things because if you don’t try, you’ll never know.
So if you want to join in the journey of bettering yourself, achieving things and feeling extra motivated and working on yourself, let me know and we can achieve these goals together.
Onwards and upwards gal pals.
