I’m introducing something new to the blog. Since I watch quite a lot of TV and movies, I thought it would be a good idea to write about them and share my reviews of what I month each or every other month.
Welcome to the first instalment of this new series where I’m talking about some of the hottest TV shows (Beckham, GBBO, Selling the OC), as well as some movies I’ve recently watched and what I wouldn’t waste your time on.
Grab the popcorn and some inspiration from the below list:

Nashville (Prime Video)
This might be my third time watching this TV series the entire way through, but it’s one of my favourite series ever. Set in Nashville, country music, great drama, great love stories, great songs and a great cast – what more could you want from a TV show?
Rating: Must Watch

Triangle of Sadness (Netflix)
This was one of the must-watch movies a few months ago, but I can safely say that I wish I had those two hours of my life back. I expected a lot more from the reviews I had read, but I wouldn’t watch this again even if it was the last thing available on Netflix.

Selling the OC (Netflix)
I’m a Selling Sunset addict, but was a little skeptical when a new version of the show came out, set in the OC rather than LA. But we’re two seasons in now and I think I might actually prefer the OC version over the LA one. The drama is intense and has me quite literally on the edge of my seat with my jaw on the floor at times. If you need some time to switch off from the world or a distraction, this is the best thing for that.

The Great British Bake Off (Channel 4)
It’s that beautiful time of the year again where the sun sets at 6pm and you can snuggle up on the sofa at 8pm with a treat, candle lit and pyjamas on and watch the Great British Bake Off. Nothing feels more wholesome on an October night than watching people battle it out over cakes, bread and flour in a tent.
Rating: A Wholesome Watch

Race Across the World (BBC One)
Fast becoming one of my favourite shows on TV, I was a little disappointed to see this season’s Race Across the World was a celebrity edition, but I’ve still been fully enraptured each Wednesday evening. I’ve found myself rooting for all of them for different reasons and don’t know who I want to win most of all. Harry from McFly’s mum is the star of the show for sure.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (Prime Video)
I’m not afraid to admit that The Summer I Turned Pretty is my guilty pleasure. Although it’s made for teens, everyone I know has been obsessed like myself, counting down the days until the new episodes came out on Prime Video. Whether you’re team Conrad or team Jeremiah (I’m team Jeremiah), you’ll find yourself fully enthralled with Belly’s love live and drama. I mean, going between two brothers probably wasn’t her best idea, but I’m here to watch it all unfold.

The Nanny Diaries (Prime Video)
I wanted to watch a cute family movie while I had a weekend in by myself and stumbled upon the Nanny Diaries. Set in New York with Scarlett Johansen as the main actress, it was a walk down memory lane with Hoboken PATH station featuring as well as the Met steps, JG Melon’s and Xx Diner as some of the settings. It was strange to see niche places of New York on the screen and being able to say ‘I’ve sat in that exact seat,’ or ‘I’ve been on that platform and walked down those exact steps’. I think I’ll be watching it again for nostalgic reasons.

Beckham (Netflix)
This four-part documentary was all over social media when it came out in mid-October. Plus, Victoria Beckham launched her new fragrance range in the same week, a permanent beauty counter in Selfridges, and David launched a range of fragrances. Plus, it wasn’t long after Victoria’s show during Paris Fashion Week. As someone that missed the era of the Spice Girls and was a whole one year old when David Beckham was sent off during the 1998 World Cup, it was an eye opener for me and also quite educational. I really enjoyed seeing what the couple are like behind the scenes and hearing about their long history in the celebrity world. I’d definitely recommend a watch.
