If you’re new here, I love to travel. If you’re not new here, then this won’t be a surprise to you.
If I could magic myself into being a full-time travel blogger, I would do so today. There’s nothing I love more than visiting new countries, trying new food, and experiencing new cultures.
I have many, many places on my travel bucket list, but I thought I would put together a list of my top 10 and share them with you.
Hopefully I can visit these places sooner rather than later, and if I do, you know you’ll be the first to know about it on my YouTube channel where I vlog all of my trips.
But without further ado, here are the 10 places that are top of my travel bucket list.
10 Places I Have On My Travel Bucket List
1. Japan
I am dying to go to Japan. Recently it’s been all over my TikTok For You page and Instagram recommendations, and I’ve been saving all of the places to go and dreaming about taking a trip there someday.
The food, the small streets, the vending machines, the technology, it’s somewhere that I’m being drawn to more and more and I can’t wait to go there.
2. Nepal
A little bit off the beaten track, you probably know if you follow me on Instagram or have watched any of my New York vlogs on YouTube that I love momos and Nepalese food.
So a dream I have, is to visit Nepal and have momos in the actual country that they’re from. Plus I’ve heard the hiking trails are meant to be amazing, and it would be an opportunity to climb (a very little bit) of Mount Everest.
3. Italian Road Trip
I’ve been to Italy quite a few times and can safely say that it’s my favourite country in Europe. I’m 340 days into a Duolingo streak of learning Italian, plus I work for a very famous Italian fashion brand, so Italy holds a very dear place in my heart.
I’ve been to Rome, Venice, Lake Garda, Milan and Lake Como, but still want to see so much more of the country.
There’s nothing I love more than taking a road trip to see a new place, and you’ll see that they pop up quite a few times on this list. Most recently, I did a road trip in America, seeing the East Coast/New England states.
Top of my list to see in Italy includes the Dolomites, Florence, Positano and Verona.
4. Lisbon, Portugal
Lisbon has been on my list for quite a while now, and I’m hoping I get to take a quick weekend break there soon.
It seemed to be the European break of the moment a few months ago, but having never been to Portugal before, I’d love to tick the city and the country off by going here.
The hills, the pastries, the food, and the cobbled streets are calling me!
5. Alaska, America
Alaska has probably been on my travel bucket list the longest. Ever since I was a teen, I wanted to see Alaska and the lakes, Northern Lights, woods and bears.
There is so much wildlife and nature to see in this state that I hope one day I eventually end up visiting. It’s almost been my lifelong ambition to watch the Northern Lights in Alaska.
6. Deep South Road Trip
Back when I lived in New York, we had planned a road trip across the Deep South states at the end of our year there. But a global pandemic happened and ruined those plans.
However, it’s a trip that has always been on our minds and we’ll definitely make it happen someday. The plan is to see Memphis, Austin, New Orleans, Nashville, Charlotte and more.
7. Mexico and Colombia
South America is another continent I want to tick off my list. Mexico and Colombia are probably the highest on my list of places to see, but I also want to visit Peru, Argentina and Chile in the future.
Perhaps that calls for another road trip!
8. Kenya
More recently, I’ve added African Safari to my travel bucket list and think Kenya would be the perfect location to do this.
I visited Marrakech, Morocco in Africa earlier this year, but I want to delve further into the continent and see as much of it as I can.
Plus seeing elephants, tigers, giraffes and more in the wild would be the most incredible experience.
9. Canadian Road Trip
Canada had never been too high on my travel bucket list, but after watching Race Across the World earlier this year, it went straight to the priority list.
So much so, that I think it would be great to live there some day, to have an easier base to travel from and to slowly explore as much of it as I possibly can.
Canada would make the perfect road trip, hitting places like Banff, Lake Louise, Alberta, Vancouver, Toronto and Quebec.
10. Scandinavia
After visiting Norway earlier this year, I was obsessed with the place. As well as a quick weekend in Copenhagen that I adored, I was soon hooked to the Scandinavian way of life.
There is so much more of Norway that I now want to see, as well as Sweden, Iceland and Finland, and discovering more of Denmark.
