This won’t be new news at all if you follow me on any of my social media platforms.
I’ve been back in Manchester since the beginning of August and as I’m writing this I’m actually sat in my home in Ireland as I was home to get my second vaccine yesterday.
Also the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine is no joke as I have suffered.
So yes, we’re back in the 0161 this month.
Why have we come back?
I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed Manchester when we were here in June. I didn’t think I would even like Manchester as my previous short visits had never been anything exciting.
But since I had basically forced my boyfriend to live in Liverpool for six months with me being a Liverpool fan and him a Man United fan, I thought it would only be fair if we spent four weeks in Manchester.
But I was so surprised at how much I loved it. Four weeks wasn’t enough and if I could have things differently, we’d be spending more than this four weeks here also.
This time however, we’ve moved into the village of West Didsbury, just outside the city centre. It’s a little different to what we’re used to, but if you’ve been to Lark Lane in Liverpool then that’s the closest thing I could compare it to.
We’re AirBnB’ing still, only this time on a very quiet and wholesome street, one street away from the main road of shops, cafes and coffee shops. Bliss.
What are our plans this time?
Honestly? Not that much. Quite like in Wales, we’re taking it a little easier than we have been.
Since we’ll be more remote out in West Didsbury, I’m getting back into spending my evenings working on things and relaxing.
If we venture out for food, we try to stick to our local area and try the independent places around there.
It’s been chilled out and it’s been nice. Plus the fact that we’re glued to Love Island every night at 9pm so haven’t been venturing too far.
The next few weeks involves a trip to Liverpool for the day – my first time back since we left in April, so very excited for that! And a little someone turns 30 this weekend, so there will be a lot of celebrations for that.
And then the end of the trip will mostly be a lot of packing for our next location.
Where to next?
Drum roll for some big news…
Our time of AirBnB’ing and moving around has now come to an end. There will be no more ‘where are you now?’ or ‘how could you be bothered packing and unpacking all the time,’ as our next location is going to be a little more permanent.
We’re just waiting to sign the contract, but we have a 12 month lease on an apartment in a new location. I know, 12 months is like a life sentence for me since we’ve now come accustomed to upping and leaving after four weeks, but I’m actually really looking forward to our next move.
Mostly I’m looking forward to having a routine and going to the gym for the first time in two years.
I’ll have my desk set-up, my morning routine and get back to writing, podcasting and documenting everything and I can’t wait.
I’m sure you can probably guess our next location, but I’ll leave the grand reveal until I write the next moving blog post.
