This is taken from my weekly newsletter which hits inboxes every Sunday morning. At the beginning of each month, I add in an Editor’s letter which you can read below and check out the other elements you can find in my weekly newsletters.

Monday 4th March 2024
This may come as a surprise to you but I’m writing this email newsletter from a packed up flat in London.
It’s Friday, March 1st and we’re moving out of our apartment – and London – for good on Sunday. It’s been quite a mission to pack our whole lives up in just a few weeks, but we’re ready to go.
We actually handed our notice into our flat while we were in Nashville at the very beginning of the year and have been planning for this move since last summer.
Since you’re a dear subscriber to the monthly newsletter, I’m going to let you in on a secret that I haven’t told many people.
I’ve quit my job (yes the job that I adore), am leaving London for good, and I’m going travelling for the next six months, hoping to end up in Australia later this year.
There, I’ve said it and now it’s out in the open.
So there are a lot of things to be organised and to look forward to this next month. I’m spending two weeks at home in Ireland before embarking on this next adventure.
By the end of the month I should be on my third country of the travels and should hopefully be sharing everything I’m up to by then.
I’m hoping to work alongside the travels, vlogging the trips, posting on TikTok and Instagram and keeping up with blog posts on here.
So don’t expect for me to go radio silent, if anything you’ll be so sick of hearing from me and of watching my content.
So that’s my big news to share from the month, nothing too shocking or life-changing.
Next time you hear from me I should be in Sri Lanka!
As always, you can follow everything I’m up to on the daily over on Instagram @orlaghclaire.

What I’ve Been Watching
Mr Bates vs The Post Office (ITVX)
It’s crazy to me that it takes a TV show to be made for me to hear about something so scandalous like the Horizon scandal. This was an infuriating but also heartbreaking show about the real-life true story of the Post Office Horizon scandal. I won’t give too much away, but this is a must watch if you haven’t already.
What I’ve Been Reading
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
I can’t get enough of this series. This is only the second book with more still to be published, but I wish I could stay in this fantasy universe for a lot longer than the 600 pages the book provides. So good!!!!!
Where I’ve Been Eating
Ivy Asia, Mayfair London
Since we were leaving London for a long time, we wanted to go to some places that had been on our radar for quite a while. The Ivy Asia had always intrigued me (mainly because of their beautiful floors) and I’d wanted to try their Asian food for the longest time. We dined at the Mayfair location and while the food was great, it was expensive and didn’t feel like we had the best service experience, maybe because there are many restaurants now scattered across London.
Where I’m Going Next
Dubai, United Arab Emirates
In last month’s newsletter, I told you that I’m going to Bucharest, Romania. That will be the first stop on our trip as we chose to stop off there on our way to Dubai. We managed to get really cheap flights to Dubai with a stop over in Bucharest, and the price didn’t change depending on the day we wanted to fly on to Dubai, so we chose to stay for a few days and explore a new country in Europe.
