I’ve been actively listening to podcasts for a while now and wanted to put together a list of my favourite podcasts in hope that it will inspire your own listening.
From scandalous podcasts to motivational monologues, and from inspirational interviews to educational wellness topics, this list has it all.
So whether you want to be that person laughing out loud while on your hot girl walk, or you want to listen to something educational and informative on your commute, this list has you covered.
9 of My Favourite Podcasts

1. Pursuit of Wellness with Mari Llewellyn
I love following Mari Llewellyn on Instagram. When I first discovered her on the app, I consumed every bit of content she had created on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, wanting to know everything about her life story and the tips and tricks that she could teach me to also change my own.
At one point, I would make decisions about my health and wellness by thinking, What would Mari do? A little over the top when I think about it now, but she is someone I admire a great deal, and if I can be even a little bit like Mari then I’m bettering myself in some way.
So you can say that I was overjoyed when she released her PoW podcast and I’ve listened to a lot of episodes, mostly with the guests that interest me the most and of course, the chats with her assistant Fi.

2. I’m Grand Mam with Kevin & PJ
Now this podcast is a scream. I only started listening to this around a year ago after so many recommendations and went back to the very first episode to work my way through it.
This podcast will have you laughing out loud, crying and making all of the facial expressions, so I don’t tend to listen to it in the gym anymore as I’ve had a fair few odd looks while I’ve been on the stationary bike.
Without a doubt one of my favourite podcasts, these two are Ireland’s sweethearts and I’m still waiting for the day that I bump into Kevin on the Jubilee line as he only lives two stops away from me.

3. Digital Diary with Hannah Elise
Another recent discovery, I’d been watching Hannah Elise’s YouTube videos for quite a while and loving her vlog-style content in New York.
I don’t know what it is, but I love Hannah’s voice and it lends itself so well to podcast format. Plus I love that Hannah doesn’t usually have any guests on her podcast and chats solo for an hour or so with usually inspirational/motivational content.

4. Inner Monologue with Olivia Neill
I’m not as up to date with Olivia’s podcast as I’d like to be, but I think once episodes started to come out twice a week, it was too much to get caught up with.
I love listening to Olivia for the drama, the boy scandal and everything she gets up to in her daily life. Since she doesn’t post on YouTube any more, this is the only place you can stay up to date with where she is in the world and who’s she’s dating.

5. Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper
One of the most infamous and recognisable podcasts to appear on this list, I’ve only recently started listening to Call Her Daddy.
I love the guests that Alex Cooper manages to get on her podcast and I especially loved the interviews with Zayn Malik and Christina Aguilera – would highly recommend.

6. The Girly Whirly Show with Sophie Murray
Sophie Murray is one of my favourite people to follow on Instagram and also makes it onto my list of favourite podcasts.
We love some Irish representation and I’m happy to have three Irish podcasts on this list. Sophie’s voice is quite iconic and so are some of the catchphrases she comes out with.
She’s unproblematic, confident and always teaching us how to be the best versions of ourselves – I love her.

7. The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett
Probably the most famous podcast on the list and instantly recognisable. Mr Steven Bartlett wouldn’t be my favourite person on the planet and I don’t know if he’s even that great at interviewing people, but he does manage to get some great guests on the show.
Some memorable interview episodes include Molly Mae (which went viral for not great reasons), Lewis Capaldi and Maisie Williams.

8. The Sinead Says Podcast with Sinead Hegarty
Another one of my favourite people to follow on Instagram, Sinead Hegarty has been a motivating figure for quite some time.
Although some of her episodes can be a bit woo-woo for me, I tend to stick to the motivational episodes, Q&As or interviews with her friends and boyfriend.
If you’re into meditation then this is definitely a podcast you’ll want to listen to.

9. The Keep ‘Er Lit Podcast with Tara Gallagher
A very good friend of mine, Tara has a podcast revolving around health and fitness. An online coach and founder of the Croissant Run Club, her episodes vary between fitness advice, life advice and even around the menstrual cycle and losing and regaining your period.
Tara’s podcast is a fountain of knowledge (and for free!) and one that I’d definitely recommend listening to, and also following her on Instagram for even more valuable information.

10. The Orlagh Claire Podcast with yours truly
Here’s a bonus mention to my own podcast of course, because it wouldn’t be worthwhile writing an article about my favourite podcasts without mentioning my own, now would it?
We’re into season 4 of the podcast now which is a bit mind-blowing, but I’m glad I’ve stuck to it for so long and I’ve had some really great guests over the last few years too.
You can find all episodes on Apple, Spotify and everywhere else you get your podcasts, and I’ve also got a page on the site with all of the episodes too.
